The New England Patriots [team stats] Cheerleaders are going Patriotic this year with new bedazzled red, white and blue uniforms sure to shine from the sidelines.

“They are really NFL glamour,” said head pom-pom princess Tracy Sormanti, who gave the Herald a sneak peek at the sexy squad’s new glitzy duds.

Last year, the 24 high-steppin’ gals sported white uniforms with fringed skirts. But this year, Sormanti kicked up the design by adding red and blue, a team logo and lots of sparkles!

“The Patriots are so lucky to have the best colors in the NFL,” Sormanti said. “I wanted to bring us back to the official real team colors.”

The unveiling of the new uniforms just so happens to coincide with the opening of “Cheers Through the Years,” an exhibit featuring a visual history of 50 years of Patriots cheerleading.

The exhibit at The Hall at Patriot Place in Foxboro opens tomorrow and runs through September.

“Cheers Through the Years” features life-size cheerleader images, photos and videos from auditions and calendar shoots and some Patriots Cheerleader trivia.

Did you know the gals perform 8,400 high kicks in a single year? Or that each girl can do 12,000 sit-ups?

CHIVA GIRLS AUDITION VIDEO

A total of 297 cheerleaders/dancers cheered and danced there way into the Guinness World Record ™,for the largest cheerleading dance. 

The Mid-South successfully cheered and danced their way into the history books by breaking the Guinness World Record ™, The record-breaking routine was performed at the Universal Cheerleaders Association’s Mid-South Regional cheerleading event held November 7th at the University of Memphis.  Guinness World Record ™ Records Day celebrated on November 12th worldwide, nuimerous attempts to break the records are held on this date.. the Group of cheerleaders gave their dance a shot in hopes to be one of the many recorded in the latest Guinness World Record ™ Books, and they were trully successful!!! 

Can you imagine the adrenaline in one room… I am sure it was a total rush…

Cheerleaders and dancers began their routine and cheered for five and half minutes.  Cheerleaders were prepared to perform a sideline cheer they leaned at camp along with the “Cupid Shuffle”.  To break the record, all the participants had to be properly uiformed, registared to participate and versed in the dance routine.  Representatives of  Guinness World Records™ were present to certify the cheerleaders’ performance.

Previously on August 1st 2009 in Westwood Calif.  and was hosted by Mario Lopez and Universal Cheerleaders Association  which  was presented by Baskins-Robbins in a kick off of there Ice Cream and Cake Dance Video Contest.  At this event 227 cheerleaders came together to perform a choreographed dance to the “Ice Cream and Cake” song by the Buckwheat Boyz.
